Sculptor’s Terms:

HUD - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) primarily works to ensure access to affordable housing, promote fair housing practices, and support community development. This includes providing funding for affordable housing programs, regulating the housing market, and assisting in disaster recovery efforts.

Major Pro Tem -
A temporary or acting mayor, typically within a city council setting. The term "pro tem" is short for "pro tempore," a Latin phrase meaning "for the time being," indicating that the role is filled temporarily, often in the absence of the elected mayor. In many cities, the city council selects one of its members to serve as mayor pro tem, often the president of the council, to preside over meetings and act as mayor when the elected mayor is unavailable.
